How Does It Work?

We know how important it is for local businesses to reach the community, and our Eagle Mountain City Citizens Facebook group, with over 28,500 local members, is a great way to do that. To support both businesses and our members, we offer flexible advertising plans designed to provide value and visibility.

There are two types of plans: standard and discounted. Discounted plans cost less, but every single ad must include at least a 15% discount for our group members. This helps your ads stand out and ensures the community benefits from your promotions.

Plans vary by how often you can post and how long you have to use your posts. The Bronze plan resets weekly with no rollover. The Silver and Gold plans give you extra posts and flexible 15- or 30-day rollover windows, so you get more reach and better value.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between a “Normal” plan and a “Discount” plan?

Discount plans offer the exact same number of ad posts and scheduling rules as normal plans but at a lower price. The trade-off is that businesses on a discount plan must provide a discount of 15% or greater in every advertisement that they post. It’s a win-win: the advertiser gets a better rate, and our group members benefit from valuable deals. If you would rather not offer a discount in every post, we recommend that you choose the normal plan.

When does my advertising period start?

For free plans, your advertising period starts when you make your first post. For example, if you post on Monday, that’s when your 7-day period begins. You then wait until the following Monday to post again.
For paid plans, your advertising period starts when you make your payment.

What happens if I don’t use all my posts in time?

If you’re on a 7-day plan, any unused posts do not roll over. They expire at the end of the 7-day period based on when your first post was made. However, our longer-term plans include rollover benefits. If you’re on a 15-day plan, any unused ads from the first week can be used in the second week, giving you more flexibility. The 30-day plan works the same way: unused ads from earlier weeks can be used later in the month, as long as they’re used before the 30-day period ends. These rollover features are ideal for advertisers who may not post consistently each week but still want full value from their plan. Or, if you would like to promote a particular event, you may group your posts around that event.

Is there a limit to the number of daily posts?

Yes, you may only make one advertisement post per day, regardless of which plan you are on.

Can I upgrade or change plans later?

Yes! You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time through your account dashboard. If you switch to a higher tier, the difference in cost between the plans is pro-rated, and you pay the difference. If you downgrade, the difference in cost between the plans is pro-rated, and you get a credit for the difference, which automatically applies to the next billing cycle.

Do I need to post a certain type of ad to qualify?

No. You can advertise anything allowed by the group rules, including products, services, promotions, or events. However, if you’re on a discount plan, every ad you post must clearly include a discount of at least 15% that benefits group members. The offer must be genuine and verifiable.

What happens if I post outside of my plan limits?

We monitor post frequency closely. If you attempt to exceed your allowed number of posts within your plan period, your extra posts may be denied, and repeated overposting may result in account review or suspension. To stay compliant, keep track of your post timing in your dashboard, or wait for your next posting window before sharing again.

How do cancellations work?

You can cancel your plan at any time. When you cancel, your subscription will not renew on the next billing cycle, but you’ll still be able to use your remaining ad posts for the rest of the current month. You’re paid up through the end of your billing period, and we encourage you to make the most of your available ads during that time. If you’d prefer to end immediately and receive a refund for the unused time, just let us know and we’ll review your account.

Do you offer refunds?

We only issue full refunds if a mistake was made. In other cases, we offer pro-rated refunds based on how far through the billing cycle you are. For example, if you cancel 15 days after making a payment, we’ll refund 50% of that month’s bill. If you believe a billing error occurred, contact us and we’ll make it right.

What happens if my advertising ID is suspended?

If you violate the group’s advertising rules, your advertising ID may be revoked, and you will no longer be allowed to post ads in the group. If this happens, your subscription will be canceled immediately. You will not receive a refund. You will not be charged again on the next billing cycle. We take advertising standards seriously to protect the experience of all group members, so please be sure to follow the guidelines provided.
